Aether Gazer CN to end updates after Version 5.2 in July

Yostar will stop releasing new content for the Chinese version of Aether Gazer after the Version 5.2 update on July 23, 2026. The game will transition to a companion server called With You on Sept. 17, 2026, while live servers remain online.

The Aether Gazer Project Team posted the plan on bilibili, writing that “the project’s market performance has been less than ideal” and that the team can no longer maintain the planned content roadmap. The post added that remaining resources will be used to complete the final chapter of the Human World storyline before the transition.

Version 5.2 will introduce a summer event, a reset of the early main story, and a Heart’s Choice Moment event where players can claim one selectable Modifier. Yostar will deliver a special thank-you gift to all players when Version 5.2 launches.

New user registrations and in-app purchases for the Chinese service are already disabled. Applications for refunds on unused Transfer Flowers open Aug. 6, 2026. The game’s download pages on app stores will begin to close gradually starting Oct. 17, 2026.

The official switch to the With You companion server is set for Sept. 17, 2026. After that date, regular content updates will end but the live servers will remain accessible for players.

Community reaction has been mixed: some players expressed disappointment that updates are ending, while others welcomed the decision to finish the story before the service change.

Yostar noted the schedule applies only to the Chinese version and has not announced equivalent plans for the global release.
