New “Ain’t No Hero” trailer previews Marvel’s Wolverine
Insomniac released a cinematic trailer titled “Ain’t No Hero” for Marvel’s Wolverine, focusing on the character’s antihero persona ahead of its Sept. 15, 2026 PlayStation 5 launch.
Insomniac Games released a new CGI trailer titled “Ain’t No Hero” for Marvel’s Wolverine. The short cinematic piece highlights Wolverine’s antihero persona and a darker story tone and does not include gameplay footage. The trailer was published ahead of the game’s scheduled September 15, 2026 PlayStation 5 launch.
The trailer concentrates on Logan’s personality and moral complexity, using visual scenes and editing to establish atmosphere and character beats rather than showing combat or in-engine sequences. Insomniac described the short as a character-focused piece that emphasizes Wolverine acting on his own terms.
An earlier extended gameplay reveal during PlayStation’s State of Play provided in-engine footage demonstrating combat and story sequences. That showcase included a scene in which Wolverine teams with Jean Grey to rescue a group of mutants and confirmed appearances by characters such as Leech, Omega Red and the Sentinels. Sabretooth was shown in the gameplay footage for a limited portion of the story.
Insomniac confirmed the game will receive a physical disc release. The studio said the planned physical edition remains because the September launch date precedes the reported timing for any changes to Sony’s distribution plans.
Marvel’s Wolverine is a PlayStation 5 exclusive due on Sept. 15, 2026. The cinematic trailer is available online and supplements prior gameplay demonstrations and story teasers released by Insomniac since the project’s initial reveal at a PlayStation State of Play presentation.
