Aion 2’s Ludra Raid Returns With New Mechanics Nov. 4

Aion 2’s Ludra raid will return Nov. 4 after NC removed it before launch. The redesigned encounter will include new mechanics and attack patterns.

NC will return Aion 2’s Ludra raid to the global version on Nov. 4 with adjusted mechanics and attack patterns. The company removed the encounter days after advanced access began when players defeated it at a lower progression level than intended.

In a post about the removal, NC wrote that Sanctuary Raids should give players time to discover mechanics, develop strategies, compete for first clears and celebrate completing difficult encounters. The quick clears also raised questions among players about raid difficulty and the effect of in-game purchases on progression. NC temporarily removed gear rewards earned during the raid’s initial release and plans to return them when the encounter is reinstated.

The redesigned version will require new strategies, including from players who attempted the original fight. A first-clear competition will award special titles to the first party to finish the raid, parties placing second through fifth and other teams in the top 20.

A login event will run from Oct. 28 through Nov. 11. Each daily check-in will provide two Odyle Energy through in-game mail, once per day for each character. Players must claim the rewards within seven days.

The Daeva Bootcamp event will run from Nov. 4 through Nov. 18. When players in a region complete eligible dungeons, rewards will be sent to all players through in-game mail after the region reaches set completion targets. The targets will start at 500,000 total clears and increase to 7 million. The event will include seven days of login rewards, including the Lush Leaf Tiara helmet.

Twitch Drops will be available during the same period for viewers who watch up to 14 hours of Aion 2 streams. NC has not said that the rewards will guarantee every character reaches the recommended progression level for Ludra by Nov. 4.

A Ludra Outfit Contest will run from Nov. 4 through Nov. 18. Each player may submit one direct in-game screenshot representing Ludra through the Aion 2 Discord. Edited or AI-modified images will not qualify. Each valid entry will receive two Dye Tokens. NC community managers will award 6,000, 3,000 and 1,000 Quna to their three favorite entries. The screenshot with the most Discord upvotes will receive an additional 3,000 Quna.
