Aniimo launches on PC, consoles and mobile Sept. 16

Aniimo, an open-world creature-catching RPG from Pawprint Studio and Kingsglory, will launch on Android, iOS, PC, PS5 and Xbox Series on Sept. 16, 2026; mobile pre-registration is open.

Kingsglory and developer Pawprint Studio will release Aniimo, an open-world creature-catching action-RPG, on Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on Sept. 16, 2026. Mobile pre-registration is available on the Google Play Store and the App Store.

The publisher announced the date after the game completed multiple testing phases in 2025 and early 2026 and ran a global closed beta during the summer. Aniimo was first revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase and will launch simultaneously across mobile, PC and current-generation consoles.

Set on the continent of Idyll, Aniimo casts players as Pathfinders who encounter creatures called Aniimo. The in-game world changes with time of day, weather and environment, and those conditions affect when and where specific Aniimo appear.

A mechanic called Twine lets players assume the form of a captured Aniimo and use its abilities for movement and puzzle solving. Twining can enable gliding, diving and burrowing to reach new areas and solve environmental challenges.

Capturing Aniimo requires timing and preparation. Players can use tools such as Aniipods, set traps and manage capture attempts. Many Aniimo gain experience and evolve as they progress.

The game includes multiplayer features and base-building systems. Each player receives an RV that serves as a mobile home and a hub for meeting others at campsites across Idyll. At a personal Homeland, players can grow crops, place decorations and arrange space for their Aniimo.

A competitive mode called Egg Heist matches teams of three in mixed PvE/PvP rounds on the Lost Isles, where squads search for and fight over eggs. The developer said the simultaneous launch will let players on all platforms access the same seasonal content and multiplayer events from day one.

Kingsglory has made mobile pre-registration available via the Google Play Store and the App Store. The publisher has not announced pre-order or pre-download options for PC or consoles.
