Ark: Genesis Ascended and Tides of Fortune delayed to July 2

Studio Wildcard pushed the free Genesis Ascended Part One expansion and the Tides of Fortune DLC back one week to July 2 for final certification and finishing touches.

Studio Wildcard delayed the free Ark: Genesis Ascended Part One expansion and the Tides of Fortune DLC by seven days, moving both releases from June 25 to July 2 to complete final certification and apply finishing touches across platforms.

Genesis Ascended Part One remakes the first half of the original Evolved DLC as a free expansion for Ark: Survival Ascended. It adds new creatures and biome-specific variants across five mini-maps, including the cosmic whale Astrocetus, the underwater predator Bloodstalker and the tentacled Palaeoctopus.

Tides of Fortune is a pirate-themed expansion developed by Grapeshot Games, Studio Wildcard’s sister studio. It focuses on boat-building and naval survival mechanics and draws on Grapeshot’s design work on the 2018 naval title Atlas.

Studio Wildcard wrote that the extra week is needed to “ensure the experience is where we want it to be across all platforms” and to complete certification ahead of launch. The team thanked players for their patience and added the extra time will help smooth the rollout.

Genesis Ascended Part One had been tentatively listed for February 2025 in an earlier roadmap before receiving a specific June release date. Both expansions will arrive simultaneously on July 2 on the platforms covered by the certification process.
