Battlefield 6 Replaces Vegas Strip Attack Helicopter Spawn

Battlefield 6’s Vegas Strip map will replace its neutral attack helicopter spawn with a transport helicopter after player criticism of the vehicle’s impact on matches.

The developer announced the change in the latest Battlefield Comms update. The neutral vehicle spawn previously gave the team controlling it access to an attack helicopter.

On Vegas Strip, the map’s high-rise buildings give helicopter pilots frequent cover. Pilots can move between buildings, attack players below and avoid much of the return fire.

Transport helicopters have offensive weapons, but they are slower and easier for players to counter. Replacing the attack helicopter removes the vehicle from the neutral spawn while keeping an air vehicle available on the map.

Players have also criticized Vegas Strip for its sightlines, routes and close-quarters combat. The map’s buildings and paths can limit visibility and create frequent attacks from unexpected angles.

The Battlefield Comms update did not provide a release date for the vehicle-spawn change.
