Battlefield 6 Season 4: Naval Warfare Arrives July 21
Season 4: Naval Warfare launches July 21, 2026, bringing a rebuilt Wake Island, new headline map Tsuru Reef, wave-driven naval combat and new boats, ships, vehicles and weapons.
Battlefield Studios announced Season 4: Naval Warfare will launch on July 21, 2026. The seasonal update adds large-scale combat across land, sea and air, and brings a rebuilt Wake Island, a new headline map called Tsuru Reef, new watercraft, vehicles and weapons.
Tsuru Reef spans miles of coastline and open ocean and links multiple combat zones by sea. The map is designed for long-range ship engagements, amphibious assaults and boat-borne troop movements that move between beaches, islands and open water.
Wake Island has been remade for the season with next-generation visuals, an increased scale and upgraded destruction modeling. The remake includes full support for naval gameplay to allow ships to operate around the island and engage shore defenses.
The update introduces wave-driven physics intended to affect vessel traversal and firing. Trailer footage shows speedboats navigating dynamic waves, players avoiding mines, and weapon fire influenced by boat motion. Developers say the wave physics will change how aiming, cover and movement function on maps with open water.
New watercraft range from fast attack boats to larger warships. The update also adds military land vehicles and aircraft to support combined-arms engagements. Trailer scenes feature warships equipped with mortar-like cannons and a new homing torpedo weapon for vehicle-versus-vehicle combat on water and in the air.
Season 4 includes new weapons and gadgets tailored for sea combat while keeping land and air options for infantry and vehicle roles. The update lists mines, torpedoes and vessel motion as factors that will affect loadouts and team coordination when crossing or defending sea lanes.
The update will be available on the game’s current platforms on July 21, following the developer’s regular seasonal cadence of updates. Battlefield Studios frames the season as an expansion of naval-focused gameplay within the current title.
