Best Minecraft Seeds for 2026 Updated for 1.26.2

Forbes updated its list of top Minecraft seeds for 2026 for Java edition version 1.26.2. The update covers five categories-Village, Survival, Speedrun, Cool and Beautiful-and includes seed numbers, key coordinates and notes on Bedrock equivalents where applicable.

For testing, editors loaded each seed in Java 1.26.2 and checked comparable spawns in Bedrock. Reporters found biome layouts are generally consistent between editions, while locations of some structures can differ between Java and Bedrock builds. Coordinates reported below refer to Java edition in 1.26.2 unless otherwise noted.

The package highlights five featured seeds selected for distinct starting conditions. The Pillagers and Villagers seed (8110137054462309706) spawns players near a savanna village to the east, with a pillager outpost at roughly x=215 z=261 and a ruined portal at x=347 z=242; a second village appears around x=523 z=266. The Speedrun WR seed (-8717682453392808086) is the same seed used by a current world-record speedrunner; notable locations include a village at x=648 z=1128, a Nether fortress near x=-101 z=203, and strongholds around x=1612 z=372 and x=980 z=1076. The Underground Lava Temple seed (2482490754905255652) places a desert temple suspended above lava inside a lush cave beneath spawn, with the temple near coordinates x=21 y=-46 z=16. The Flower Forest Island seed (2048005618087379093) spawns players on an island inside a flower forest and adjacent cherry grove, with a village near x=-272 z=112 and an Ancient City at x=8 z=232. The Survival Structures seed (-7417157268905316998) spawns near a plains village at x=315 z=343, a ruined portal at x=297 z=340 and a Trial Chamber below spawn at x=294 y=2 z=290.

The update also lists additional seeds tailored to specific player needs. Village-focused examples include Ultimate Desert (486362209) with multiple desert villages and pyramids within a few hundred blocks, and Rare Swamp Village (-2295595817529477063) where a village overlaps a swamp biome. Survival seeds include a Ruined Portal at Spawn (-128114970508797305) and an island that contains both a taiga village and a woodland mansion (-3420545464665791887). Speedrun entries include set-seed options such as -6405782700478242821 and a Snowy Speedrun seed (-4496590507308278848) that groups an igloo, stronghold and Ancient City within close range; many record runs continue to use older versions such as 1.16 due to differences in movement and Nether mechanics.

The Cool category highlights unusual spawns and landmark formations, including a natural question-mark formation (seed -39006482427340374), a Herobrine folklore forest accessible in ancient Java Alpha, and seeds that place players at or near megastructures such as Ancient Cities and woodland mansions. Beautiful seeds emphasize scenic build sites, including a Lush Cave Island (-950547527103331411), Broken Cove at spawn (11297487), and Skull Island with a desert village on spawn and a lush cave below (1040934860).

Players can enter the seed numbers in the advanced world options when creating a new world. Java coordinates were checked in version 1.26.2; Bedrock players should expect minor differences in structure placement and use Bedrock-equivalent seeds when provided.
