Black Ops 7 Season 5 and Warzone Arrive July 23

Season 5 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone launches July 23 with new multiplayer and Zombies maps, four weapons, a Verdansk Drone Labs POI and Ranked Play updates.

Activision will launch Season 5 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone on July 23. The update includes new multiplayer and Zombies maps, weapon additions, Ranked Play changes and a new point of interest on the Verdansk map.

Activision published a roadmap that outlines content arriving at launch and in mid-season. The company described new and remastered multiplayer maps, additional maps due later in the season, a sizeable Zombies update, and multiple Warzone features centered on Verdansk.

Multiplayer will launch with the new Jubilee map and remastered versions of Frequency and Dig. Two more maps, Turbo Tilt and Freerun: Descent, are scheduled to join during mid-season. Limited-time modes planned for Season 5 include Overdrive Domination, Gauntlet Rush and a Cranked moshpit that arrives later in the season. Ranked Play returns with a refreshed reward slate tied to seasonal progression.

Zombies content expands with a new survival map called Eidskallen Lighthouse and a directed experience named Kowakujō Directed Mode. Players will see three Rogue Run playlists under the Astra Malorum banner and a round-based finale map coming mid-season. The season adds the Widow’s Wine perk, a new GobbleGum, and two legacy weapons integrated into the Zombies weapon pool.

Warzone’s Verdansk receives a new point of interest called Drone Labs, located east of the TV Station and south of Quarry. The update also introduces an HKDs killstreak and a Ranked Play: Resurgence mode. A Quickdrop Kit is scheduled for mid-season to change looting and deployment options.

Four weapons are planned across the season. The FG42 assault rifle and the Gremlin SMG are Battle Pass rewards, while the Mammoth LMG and a Mace melee weapon will be obtainable through events and weekly challenges. The season’s Battle Pass highlights the Spectre operator with new skins, weapon blueprints and cosmetic items. Subscribers to the BlackCell service gain access to the Cipher operator, a Mastercraft weapon blueprint and additional cosmetic variants.

Activision’s roadmap links several mid-season updates and time-limited modes to live events and weekly challenge rotations that provide multiple ways for players to obtain the new weapons and cosmetics. Season 5 goes live July 23, with several features and maps scheduled to arrive after launch as part of the seasonal rollout.
