Brave Frontier Origin returns to mobile in 2027
Brave Frontier Origin will launch on mobile in 2027, arriving first in Japan and North America. An official roadmap teases upcoming story, hero and summoning reveals.
Brave Frontier Origin will arrive on mobile in 2027, debuting first in Japan and North America, according to a short teaser and an official website. Early visuals highlight pixel-art heroes and a return to the series’ classic 2D look.
The website includes a brief gameplay preview and suggests core mechanics from earlier entries will return. The teaser shows what appear to be Brave Bursts that may be triggered with a flick gesture, but detailed gameplay footage is not yet available.
An official roadmap lists three pre-release reveals: a story update titled “Bonds That Transcend Time” on September 3, 2026; “Heroes Reimagined” in November 2026; and a battle system update called “The Return of Summoning” in January 2027. The game is scheduled to launch later in 2027.
The original Brave Frontier launched in 2013 from developer Alim and is known for fast-paced battles, a large collectible roster, elemental team building and the Brave Burst ability system. The franchise expanded with titles including Brave Frontier 2 and Brave Frontier: The Last Summoner, and several mobile spin-offs such as Brave Frontier Legion and Brave Frontier Versus, the latter developed by gumi and later slated for shutdown.
The announcement did not name a publisher or regional release partners beyond the Japan and North America windows. The site indicates further global availability may follow but does not list additional territories or a precise release date. There are no reported details yet on monetization, additional platforms or beta tests.
More information is expected during the scheduled roadmap reveals. Fans can monitor the official Brave Frontier Origin website for updates on story, heroes, summoning and release timing.
