Brawl Stars Championship 2027 adopts two-tier format

Supercell will run the Brawl Stars Championship 2027 with an eight-team Top Level per major region and a 12-region Challengers tier featuring promotion and relegation.
Supercell announced the Brawl Stars Championship 2027 will use a two-tier competitive format with promotion and relegation between tiers. The company said the structure will run across two seasonal Splits and include regional and international events.
At the Top Level, eight teams will compete in each major region: East Asia, EMEA, South America and North America. The season will be divided into two halves, each following a 12-week program. Supercell said the initial Top Level roster for 2027 will be set using teams’ 2026 results combined with a qualification Brawl Stars event.
Split 1 starts with a group stage where all eight Top Level teams in each region play a round-robin schedule. Teams then move through a Mid-Season Playoffs phase, a second group stage and Regional Playoffs. The leading teams from Split 1 will qualify for the Brawl Cup, a three-day international LAN event. The Brawl Cup champion will secure an extra World Finals spot for its region.
Split 2 follows the same 12-week format and builds toward the Brawl Stars World Finals. League matches and regional leaderboards across both Splits will determine playoff seeding and paths to international qualification.
The Challengers tier will operate across 12 regions and serve as a qualifying pathway into the Top Level. Challengers teams will progress through Open Qualifiers, regional league play and Playoffs to reach the Challengers Finals. At the Challengers Finals, top squads will meet Top Level teams that must defend their places. Promotion and relegation matches will decide which teams compete at the Top Level in the following Split or season.
Results from the Split 2 Challengers Finals will determine which teams earn Top Level places for the 2028 season. Supercell confirmed Mainland China will remain part of the Championship ecosystem and said it will provide further details about China’s 2027 format at a later date.
Supercell has not released a full calendar or the complete qualification rules for every region. The company outlined that the 2027 system will center on seasonal Splits, regional leaderboards, international events and a direct promotion channel from regional Challengers leagues into the Top Level.
