Brunante launches on Android as single-file survival game

Brunante, a $4.99 quiet survival game by Patriote, is now available on Android and itch.io. The game runs from a single HTML file, generates assets during play and works offline.

Developer Patriote has released Brunante on Android via Google Play and on itch.io. Priced at $4.99, the title is a quiet survival game that runs from a single HTML file, generates images, sounds and terrain while you play, and does not require a network connection. The game does not use timers or energy bars.\n\nPlayers begin on a shore with only a knife and no tutorial. The objective is to gather resources, build a place to sleep and gradually expand a settlement. The design emphasizes crafting, building and exploration rather than timed challenges.\n\nConstruction options include ten shelter types, from lean-tos to huts, cabins and large halls that can house multiple animals. Activities listed by the developer include fishing across 16 species, hunting, cooking, farming, tanning hides, making bricks and charcoal, taming an animal, growing a garden and building cairn-marked roads. The world contains caves, rivers, abandoned villages, wrecks and a watchtower with long-range views.\n\nThe game’s map contains 16 million tiles that are generated as the player moves. Four seasons change what grows, what can be caught and how quickly cold affects the player. A narrative appears through papers left by previous inhabitants, and the game records milestones such as the player’s first frost and the hundredth day.\n\nBecause all assets are packaged within the single HTML file and created at runtime, Brunante can be played offline and does not download additional content during sessions. The single-file format also allows distribution on platforms that accept HTML apps.\n\nPatriote published screenshots and descriptions at launch and plans to update the game over time. An iOS release is planned; the developer has not announced a release date.
