Bulkhead CEO claims EA’s DICE and Respawn are making Battlefront 3
Bulkhead Games CEO Joe Brammer claims EA’s DICE and Respawn Entertainment are developing Star Wars Battlefront 3. EA and Lucasfilm have not confirmed the game.
Bulkhead Games CEO Joe Brammer made the claim in a recent social media post. He wrote that EA’s DICE and, based on information he had heard, Respawn Entertainment were working on the next Star Wars Battlefront game. Brammer did not identify his source or provide details about the project.
The claim follows a separate report that Lucasfilm has been seeking a developer for a new Battlefront game. DICE, which developed the previous two main entries, was described as a leading candidate. Bungie was also reportedly discussed as a possible developer if DICE does not take on the project.
The separate report indicated that the game was not in active development and that discussions about which studio should handle it were still taking place. Brammer’s claim suggests that DICE and Respawn could both be involved, although neither studio has confirmed the project.
Brammer also questioned what a new Battlefront game would mean for DICE’s work on Battlefield. DICE is supporting Battlefield 6, while Respawn is working on other projects.
EA’s exclusive licensing agreement for Star Wars games ended in 2023, allowing other publishers and developers to create games based on the franchise. EA and Lucasfilm have not announced Star Wars Battlefront 3, and no release date or platform information is available.
