Capcom to delist Dragon's Dogma 2 Deluxe Edition June 25 - news.goranked

Capcom will remove the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Deluxe Edition and all optional microtransactions from digital storefronts worldwide on June 25 at midnight UTC.

Capcom confirmed it will remove the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Deluxe Edition and all optional microtransactions from digital storefronts worldwide on June 25 at midnight UTC. The publisher said the change is part of preparations for the Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen expansion, due October 9.

Items scheduled for removal include Rift Crystals, Wakestones, Portcrystals, Makeshift Gaol Keys, Ambivalent Rift Incenses, Heartfelt Pendants, Harpysnare Smoke Beacons and the “A Boon for Adventurers” pack. The Deluxe Edition shares many of its bonuses with those standalone items, and Capcom indicated the delisting will simplify the purchase options visible to new players.

Capcom is also applying a permanent reduction to the base price of Dragon’s Dogma 2. The adjusted price will vary by region and platform. The publisher said the changes apply to digital storefronts only and will take effect at the same UTC time worldwide.

Players who already bought the Deluxe Edition or any of the listed microtransactions will retain access to those purchases. Capcom noted the removal of digital bundles and paid items will not change how the game is sold on physical media.

The announcement accompanied recent quality-of-life updates that addressed game mechanics and accessibility. Dragon’s Dogma 2 launched two years ago as an action role-playing game with an open world, pawn companions and a rift-based progression system. The Dark Arisen expansion will release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 9.
