Clash of Clans returns Global Chat with football Clan Wars

Supercell reintroduced Global Chat in Clash of Clans and launched a limited-time football-themed Clan War League featuring Bastian Schweinsteiger, Kaká and Thierry Henry.
Supercell has reintroduced Global Chat in Clash of Clans and launched a limited-time, football-themed Clan War League. The developer released a trailer that includes appearances by former players Bastian Schweinsteiger, Kaká and Thierry Henry and links the event to the ongoing World Cup.
Global Chat appears as a dedicated chat window that lets players communicate across the game. Users can discuss attack strategies, recruit clanmates and coordinate matches through the new interface. The themed Clan War League runs alongside the chat feature so clans can enter competitions tied to the event.
Supercell described Global Chat as a feature players had requested for a long time. The company has previously reintroduced features via in-game events, including a return of the Revenge Button in an earlier event.
The trailer mixes gameplay footage with filmed appearances by the footballers. Supercell has used well-known players in past promotions, such as a limited-time event that included Erling Haaland as a playable character.
The update is available in the latest Clash of Clans release. Players who install the update can join the football-styled Clan War League and use Global Chat to exchange tips, organize clan recruitment and coordinate attacks. Supercell’s announcement did not provide details on moderation tools or other chat controls.
As reported previously, League of Legends will release Locke, an AP midlane assassin, on June 24, 2026.
