Clash Royale August adds Berserker, Valkyrie and Elite Barbarians

Supercell revealed in a TV Royale episode that the August 2026 Clash Royale season will introduce two new Heroes, an Evolution for Elite Barbarians, a ranked draft league, multiple Chaos-themed timed modes and the first Chaos Mega Draft Global Tournament.

Hero Berserker and Hero Valkyrie are the season’s new characters. Berserker’s main ability triggers a Berserk Mode during which a spirit animal appears, her hit speed increases and she cannot be defeated while the effect lasts; she will not drop below one hit point during the ability. Berserker will be available as a free unlock through Ken’s Chaos Draft League. Valkyrie’s ability increases her movement speed and causes her to spin through nearby enemies, dealing area damage as she dashes; she can still take damage and be defeated while the ability is active. Valkyrie will be obtainable through Pass Royale.

Elite Barbarians receive an Evolution that adds ranged pressure to their charge. Evolved Elite Barbarians throw Rage-tipped javelins at enemy troops and Crown Towers before charging and leave a glowing Rage trail across the Arena. The Evolution retains the card’s charge mechanic while adding a new ranged element. Players can unlock Evolved Elite Barbarians for free via Ken’s Shop during the August season.

Ken’s Chaos Draft League is a ranked, two-week event built on a draft format. Players select four cards for their deck while the remaining four go to the opponent, then choose a modifier that alters match dynamics. The league offers season rewards and includes the opportunity to unlock Hero Berserker without cost.

The season adds several limited-time Chaos modes, including Epic Only Chaos, Sudden Death Chaos and Infinite Elixir Chaos. Players will be able to create Chaos Draft Tournaments for clanmates and friends, and Chaos Draft mechanics will appear in Friendly Battles and selected casual modes. Supercell will host the Chaos Mega Draft Global Tournament, where competitors draft decks with modifiers, climb leaderboards and earn rewards tied to placement.

The August update goes live with the monthly seasonal cycle and provides multiple unlock paths and competitive formats for testing the new Heroes and the Elite Barbarians Evolution.
