Clash Royale Season 87: Minion Academy, Royale Shuffle

Supercell launched Season 87 for September 2026, with scheduled events running from September 7 into early October. The season centers on the Minion Academy “Academy Antics” Album, introduces a new Royale Shuffle mode and returns the 2v2 League and Princess Gambit global tournament.

The Academy Antics Album runs from September 7 to October 5. The event follows a Minion-themed story about Minion Giant’s first year at the Minion Academy. Players collect Snippets in Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary rarities to complete Scenes and the full Album. Snippets are earned through daily battle rewards, in-game events and the Shop. Four duplicate Snippets can be exchanged for a Unique Snippet. During the final week of the Album, daily-reward Snippets are all Unique. Completing the full Album grants 1,750 Minion Giant cards, an exclusive emote and a Tower Skin. The Album Event is available starting at Arena 3.

The 2v2 League returns from September 7 to September 21. Players must team up to climb the League Road and compete on the leaderboard. Two badges are available: one for finishing the League Road and another for placing in the top 10,000 on the leaderboard.

Royale Shuffle runs from September 21 to October 5 and gives players a random game mode and a random deck each match. The mode pool includes Triple Elixir, Super Troop Showdown, Sudden Death, Rage Battle, Heist, Snowball Bombardment, Mega Monk, Blackout, 4-Card Clash, Capture the Mortar, Dragon Hunt and Everything Evolved. A Royale Shuffle Challenge will take place from September 28 to October 5, with a Battle Banner-containing a frame and decoration-offered as the Challenge reward.

The Princess Gambit Global Tournament is scheduled for September 21 to September 26. In this mode the Tower Princess controls the Arena and matches use Sudden Death rules with only two Princess Towers. Players use decks made up of 40 rotating cards. Evolutions and Heroes are active in every match, and available cards and forms are revealed at the start of each battle. Card levels are capped at 11 for the event, and Evolution and Hero availability depends on each player’s Collection. Completing the tournament grants an exclusive Princess Gambit badge; the top 10,000 finishers receive a Leaderboard Finisher Badge.

A Clashroom Community Event will run from September 22 to September 26. The event presents short educational content tied to Clash Royale themes, covering topics such as biology, physics and history, followed by a knowledge test. Supercell plans to release additional event details closer to the start date.

Across Season 87, event rewards include the Album’s Minion Giant cards, an emote and a Tower Skin, 2v2 League badges, the Princess Gambit badge and leaderboard finisher badges, and a Royale Shuffle Battle Banner. Dates, reward specifics and availability are as stated in the season schedule.
