Code Vein 2’s Mask of Idris DLC arrives September 9
Mask of Idris, the first major DLC for Code Vein 2, launches Sept. 9, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Bandai Namco Studios will release Mask of Idris, the first major post-launch expansion for Code Vein 2, on September 9, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The DLC adds a new explorable area called the Forgotten World and new time-based gameplay mechanics.
The Forgotten World will serve as the primary setting for the expansion’s story content. Bandai Namco has said additional features and content will be included but has not disclosed further specifics yet.
Mask of Idris introduces mechanics that let players manipulate or use time as part of gameplay. The studio described these mechanics as affecting encounters and exploration in ways that differ from the base game, though it did not provide technical details or examples in the announcement.
Players must complete Code Vein 2’s main campaign and finish the in-game side quest titled Valentin’s Request before the DLC becomes accessible from within the game.
The expansion will be distributed through each platform’s standard digital storefronts on launch day. Bandai Namco has not yet announced pricing, detailed content lists, technical requirements or patch notes; further information is expected in follow-up communications.
