Crimson Desert DLC Due by 2026; Details Coming Q3

Pearl Abyss confirmed the first Crimson Desert DLC will arrive by the end of 2026 and that further details will be released in the third quarter.

Pearl Abyss confirmed in its 2026 earnings letter that the first downloadable content pack for the open-world RPG Crimson Desert will arrive before the end of 2026 and that more information will be shared during the third quarter.

The company said the expansion is already in development and described it as offering a ‘fresh’ gameplay experience, indicating new content rather than a direct continuation of existing material.

The earnings letter noted the third-quarter update should include the release schedule, the structure and scope of the expansion, and pricing details. The studio did not provide specific dates or define what it means by ‘third quarter.’ If the company follows the calendar year, the update would be due by the end of September.

Pearl Abyss outlined plans for ‘various follow-up strategies’ for Crimson Desert, signaling the possibility of multiple expansions that expand the game’s world, characters and regions. The company also said it intends to bring the title to additional platforms and mentioned a port to the Nintendo Switch 2 without offering a timetable.

In the earnings letter, Pearl Abyss COO Sung Jin Chang wrote, ‘We believe there’s much more room to grow with our IP,’ referring to the game’s world, characters and regions.

Beyond confirming development and stating the expansion will offer a different gameplay experience, Pearl Abyss has not released further details on the DLC’s scope, length or precise release windows. An official update is expected in the third quarter to provide the additional information the company referenced.
