Pearl Abyss has released an overview trailer for Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown. The expansion is scheduled for Oct. 29, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC after a two-week delay.
Charting the Unknown will introduce shipbuilding. Players can customize a ship’s front, rear and hull before sailing. Cannons can be installed for battles against enemy vessels, including ghost ships shown in the trailer.
The expansion will add new ocean areas with additional underwater life. Players can explore deeper waters by converting their A.T.A.G. into a submarine. The trailer also showed islands outside Pywel, where players can establish strongholds.
Players can assign Greymanes to operate island strongholds as seaports. Existing strongholds in Pywel will receive management options that include assigning and equipping workers and recruiting additional staff.
Strongholds can also be used to run businesses. Players will be able to open restaurants, tailor shops and other establishments in settlements under their control.
The DLC will introduce a boss rush mode featuring previously defeated enemies. The trailer showed several bosses, including members of the Antumbra Order. Players will receive rewards for completing the challenges.
