Crimson Desert Enhanced debuts at Gamescom; free update for owners
Pearl Abyss revealed Crimson Desert Enhanced at Gamescom Opening Night Live, a free update adding story scenes, cinematics and new voice/language support; the game is 20% off until Sept. 9.
Pearl Abyss announced Crimson Desert Enhanced at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026. The studio described the release as a free content update for existing owners and launched a sitewide sale on the base game.
The Enhanced update adds new cinematics, additional scenes and extended dialogue to the game’s narrative. Pearl Abyss said the package consolidates all prior updates and the new story elements into a single update delivered at no extra cost to players who already own Crimson Desert.
Localization is expanded in the Enhanced update. Full voice acting will be available in French, German, Spanish, Japanese and Brazilian Portuguese. Arabic-language support is included as subtitle dialogue plus translated menus and text.
Pearl Abyss presented a new trailer for the update during the Gamescom broadcast. Crimson Desert Enhanced will be playable at the Pearl Abyss booth at Gamescom from August 26 to 30, 2026.
Alongside the reveal, Pearl Abyss launched a 20% discount on Crimson Desert across PlayStation 5, PC and Xbox Series X platforms. The sale runs through September 9, 2026 and is the publisher’s first recorded discount for the title.
Crimson Desert launched as an open-world action role-playing game and has received multiple updates since release. Pearl Abyss previously reported that the game reached four million sales.
