Edgerunners 2 Teaser Confirms Fall 2026 Premiere

CD Projekt Red and Studio TRIGGER released a teaser on June 29 confirming that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will premiere in Fall 2026. The short clip provides a first look at the sequel and introduces an all-new cast operating in Night City.

The teaser contains rapid action sequences, stylized character work and a prominent soundtrack. It references cyberpsycho drives and violent confrontations associated with the franchise while revealing few plot details or character identities.

Production is led by CD Projekt Red and Studio TRIGGER. Director Kai Ikarashi, who worked on the original Edgerunners and SSSS.Gridman, returns for the new series. Bartosz Sztybor returns as showrunner, writer and producer, and Kanno Ichigo joins as lead character designer. The project is presented as a standalone follow-up rather than a direct continuation of the first season’s cast and storyline.

The companies set a Fall 2026 premiere window but did not disclose platforms, episode count or voice cast in the teaser. A fuller reveal with plot information, character details and release specifics is scheduled for later this month.

The sequel was first announced at Anime Expo 2025; today’s teaser is the first official footage and the first concrete release window provided since that announcement.
