Death Antique launches on mobile with reaper and Floof

SleepingMuseum released Death Antique worldwide on Android and iOS, a stealth horror game where a scythe-less grim reaper and a companion called Floof collect escaping souls.

SleepingMuseum released Death Antique globally on Android and iOS after a Japan debut five months earlier. The game is available on the Google Play Store and the App Store.

Players control a grim reaper who has lost her scythe and must recover souls that flee graveyards. Gameplay focuses on stealth: hiding behind gravestones, avoiding the gaze of wandering spirits, and chasing or corralling escaping souls rather than fighting.

The game’s environment is described as a space between the earth and the starry sky. Night runs require careful movement and timed actions to avoid enemies and hazards.

Floof, a dog-like companion, can be petted to calm the reaper and can transform into a protective Floof Wall to block threats. Retry Fortune Cards let players attempt to recover from failed runs.

Death Antique features up to four card-based minigames played against visitors who arrive at night. Winning these games strengthens Floof and ties into progression systems.

Narrative sequences alternate between the reaper’s nightly duties and scenes of a fortune teller working with cards in a dark alley. Fortune-telling mechanics and card play gradually reveal connections between the living world and the afterlife.

SleepingMuseum previously developed Death Palette and TERASENE. The studio describes Death Antique as a stealth horror adventure with light card-game and fortune-telling systems integrated into its story and gameplay.
