Diablo 4 hotfix removes Mythic equip limits, ups drops

Blizzard removed the one-crafted-Mythic equip limit and increased Mythic drop rates from the Corrupted Reaper; the hotfix is live after player feedback on Season of Death Awakening.
Blizzard issued a hotfix for Diablo 4 today that removes equip limits on crafted Mythic Uniques and increases Mythic drop rates from the Corrupted Reaper. The changes address player feedback following the Season of Death Awakening update.
Last week’s patch 3.1.1 made crafting Mythic Uniques easier and increased the availability of crafting materials, but it also enforced a hard cap that allowed only one crafted Mythic to be equipped. Players reported that the cap reduced the value of crafted Mythics; Blizzard removed the cap immediately, allowing multiple crafted Mythics to be worn at once.
The hotfix also raises the chance that the Corrupted Reaper encounter will drop Mythic items. Blizzard confirmed the adjustments are live and available to all players.
Regular crafted Mythics are produced with Pandemonium Fragments, while Iconic Mythics require Resplendent Sparks. With equip limits removed, both currencies can be used to produce items players can equip simultaneously. The upgrade mechanic that makes the “upgrade to Mythic” option a random roll remains unchanged.
In a forum post, Live Service Design Director Dan Tanguay wrote: “Seasons are where we experiment with new ideas and push Diablo 4 in new directions. Not every idea lands exactly as intended, but we’ll continue listening to your feedback, addressing what’s not working, and applying those lessons to future seasonal updates.” Tanguay said the team heard player concerns about the Season of Death Awakening changes and acted on them.
Blizzard also previewed additional rewards due next week: extra Superior Lair Keys added to the repeatable Glints of Hope seasonal reputation turn-in, and improved drop rates for Mythic Tributes in the Kurast Undercity. The developer said it will continue to review natural drop chances for Iconic Mythics and make further adjustments if needed.
The original patch deployed last week. The hotfix follows community pushback from players who had advanced seasonal progression and reported that the earlier adjustments limited the usefulness of crafted Mythics; Blizzard described the hotfix as a response to that feedback and said it will monitor outcomes going forward.
