Diablo 4 patch fixes player-stuck bugs, launches Sep 30

Blizzard will deploy the Diablo 4 Season 15 update on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. Patch notes published by the studio list fixes for cases where rapid movement through areas could leave characters stuck, together with a range of class, item, crafting and UI corrections.

Two movement-related fixes address specific progression breaks. One patch prevents players from jumping into the Worldstone Chamber prematurely, which could break the seasonal questline. A separate fix restores dungeon progression in Lester’s Farm, a new seasonal zone that references Diablo 1’s Hellfire expansion. The update also corrects inconsistent reward drops from the Chamber of Bone.

Several class interactions were adjusted. An exploit that allowed the Druid’s Pulverize skill to keep staggered bosses immobilized has been closed. The Sorcerer’s Incinerate Enchantment now applies burning damage that properly triggers runes, and a damage-reduction effect tied to the Sol Rune’s random shrine bonuses now activates as intended. Patch notes indicate some of these corrections will have minor effects on class balance.

The update includes item and crafting fixes. Henri’s Perquisition can now be crafted in the Horadric Cube. The Runeword called Edge had an unintended interaction that allowed gaining two items at once from the Purveyor of Curiosities; the behavior has been adjusted. The Lore Runeword helm now appears correctly on characters when equipped, and pinned currency in the Stats and Materials tab is highlighted as expected.

Other technical corrections prevent Diablo 2 returner Nihlathak from teleporting outside his boss arena and resolve multiple smaller UI and reward inconsistencies. Patch notes note that the team previously addressed bugs that had prevented some players from fighting the trio of returning Prime Evils and that developers are monitoring the Season 15 meta for any further adjustments before launch.

Season 15, titled Season of Hell’s Legacy, brings anniversary content and callbacks to earlier Diablo entries. The patch restores progress in affected quests and dungeons and corrects gameplay interactions ahead of the seasonal ramp-up.
