Digimon Up launches July 15 on mobile

Digimon Up arrives on mobile July 15, offering single-partner pixel-art Digimon gameplay; pre-registration is open.

Digimon Up will launch on July 15 for mobile devices. Pre-registration is open on app stores ahead of the release.

The game recreates Digimon’s single-partner digital-pet format. Players care for one Digimon, feeding and training it, guiding its evolution and preparing it for battles against other players’ creatures.

Digimon Up uses pixel-art graphics instead of modern 3D models. The presentation and interface reference the franchise’s 1990s handheld and virtual-toy origins.

Core gameplay systems include feeding and training routines, evolution paths for partner Digimon, and online competitive matches. Progression comes from improving a partner’s abilities and competing in battles with other trainers.

Digimon began as a spinoff of Tamagotchi and has historically emphasized a single bonded partner rather than a large collectible roster. Digimon Up continues that focus by centering gameplay on raising, evolving and maintaining one Digimon on a mobile device.

Pre-registration remains open ahead of the July 15 launch, allowing players to reserve access before the game becomes available on mobile platforms.
