Discounty Heads to Android and iOS This Year
Snapbreak will release Discounty on Android and iOS later this year, a narrative-driven management sim offering a 15 to 20-hour single-player campaign set in the harbor town of Blomkest.
Snapbreak will release Discounty on Android and iOS later this year. The studio opened pre-registration on the Google Play Store; iOS availability will be announced closer to launch.
Discounty places players in charge of the town’s only supermarket after inheriting the shop from their aunt. The single-player campaign runs about 15 to 20 hours and focuses on running and expanding the store.
Gameplay includes rearranging shelves, stocking products, adding decorations, unlocking new goods and promoting the business. Players can expand their offering and change the store’s appearance to influence customer behavior and sales.
The title also includes relationship and exploration elements. Players negotiate trade deals with local manufacturers to obtain regional specialties, work to win over residents who are initially hesitant, and explore Blomkest to meet townsfolk, build a regular customer base and discover hidden story elements.
Character customization allows players to choose appearance, outfit and name. The game uses a cozy art style and links management choices to narrative outcomes focused on community and everyday life.
Snapbreak’s previous titles include Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley, Lost in Play and Among the Sleep. Discounty applies the studio’s story-driven approach to a market-management setting for mobile devices.
No specific release date has been provided beyond “later this year.” Android users can pre-register on Google Play. Snapbreak plans to share final launch timing, pricing and any in-app purchase details as the release window approaches.
