Dogpile roguelike deckbuilder coming to iOS and Android
Dogpile, a merge-based roguelike deckbuilder where players combine dogs and assign scoring tags, will arrive on iOS and Android; no release date has been announced.
Studio Folly and Toot Games confirmed that Dogpile will be released on iOS and Android, with no firm launch date yet. The game is already available on PC and the mobile versions are currently in development.
Dogpile mixes a drop-and-merge puzzle mechanic with deck-building elements. Players place dog tokens into a pile and merge two or more dogs of the same size to form larger breeds. Dogs carry tags or traits that affect scoring; arranging tags that interact produces score bonuses during a run.
The core loop combines spatial placement decisions with trait management. Players must choose where to drop dogs to enable future merges while also assembling tag combinations that increase points. The developers describe multiple ways to modify dog traits and increase scoring potential across runs.
Studio Folly and Toot Games used a minimalist, colourful art style that emphasises clear dog silhouettes as they grow through merges. The visual design is intended to make it easy to track merges and progress at a glance.
The mobile ports were announced without platform-specific features, monetisation details, pricing, or cross-save information. The developers stated the mobile versions will preserve the same merge-and-deck mechanics seen on PC and will be adapted for touch controls. Further updates are expected from the studios ahead of release.
