EA Sports FC 27 FUT: Gallery, Faster SBCs and Pathways

EA outlined new Ultimate Team features for EA Sports FC 27, including a persistent FUT Gallery, point‑scaled SBCs and multi‑route Pathway evolutions; the game launches Sept. 25.

Electronic Arts detailed several new Ultimate Team features for EA Sports FC 27 ahead of the game’s Sept. 25 launch on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2. The updates focus on persistent progression, shorter repeat tasks and new ways to evolve player cards over a season.

The largest addition is the FUT Gallery, a persistent set system that tracks items players earn across a season. The Gallery groups cards into category-based Gallery Sets — for clubs, leagues, nations, promotions and similar themes — and assigns grades based on card quality. Submitting cards advances completion grades and filling sets increases a player’s overall Gallery Level. Leveling the Gallery grants rewards such as cosmetic items and Gallery Tokens.

EA described the Gallery as an explorable 3D area players unlock and expand during a season. The space will display collected items and progress. Gallery Sets weight higher-rated and special cards more heavily, so those cards move players toward set completion faster.

Squad Building Challenges will use a new workflow for Player and Upgrade SBCs. Instead of constructing a full squad to meet chemistry, position and rating rules, players can drop eligible cards directly from their club. Completion progress will be calculated with a point-scaling system that accounts for player ratings and card rarity. The change is intended to speed up repeat SBCs while keeping choices about which cards to use.

Evolution items are receiving multi-route options called Pathways. Some Evolution cards will offer more than one development route so players can choose how a card improves over time. One route might raise attacking attributes while another boosts defensive stats. Pathways aim to let players plan how individual cards evolve across the season.

A new Campaign Hub will collect seasonal content in one interface. The hub lists newly available objectives, SBCs, Live Events and other seasonal activities. Live Events will include both multiplayer challenges and single-player matches against AI clubs, providing more options for solo play.

These features will be part of the Ultimate Team season when EA Sports FC 27 releases later in September.
