ESL Pro League Season 24 Returns to LAN in Katowice

ESL Pro League Season 24 returns to LAN at Katowice’s Spodek Arena Oct. 3–11, where 16 teams will compete for a $1 million prize pool.
ESL Pro League Season 24 will be held in person at Katowice’s Spodek Arena from Oct. 3 to Oct. 11, with a total prize pool of $1 million. The event is the league’s first LAN-format final stage since 2019.
The group stage runs Oct. 3–7 in a Swiss format. Every match is Best-of-3. Teams need three wins to advance to the playoffs and are eliminated after three losses. The eight teams that qualify will play a single-elimination playoff from Oct. 9–11. Quarterfinals, semifinals and the third-place match will be Best-of-3 and the grand final will be Best-of-5. The final phase will take place in front of a live audience at Spodek Arena.
Sixteen teams qualified for Season 24. Twelve earned places through the VRS global ranking and four advanced via regional qualifiers in the ESL Challenger League. The field includes Team Spirit, Team Vitality, FURIA, MOUZ, Falcons, Legacy, G2 Esports, Aurora, Natus Vincere, BetBoom Team, 9z Team, PARIVISION, M80, TYLOO, 1win and ShindeN.
Opening-round matchups are G2 Esports vs. Natus Vincere, Team Spirit vs. ShindeN, Team Vitality vs. 1win, MOUZ vs. M80, Falcons vs. TYLOO, Legacy vs. PARIVISION, Aurora vs. 9z, and FURIA vs. BetBoom Team.
Prize distribution within the $1 million pool is tiered. The champion will receive $125,000 in player prize money and $170,000 in club rewards. The runner-up will receive $50,000 for players and $125,000 for the club. Teams will also earn points toward the ESL Grand Slam VII standings, which affect rankings and invitations to future major events.
Organizers had not released statements and no team comments were available at the tournament’s start. Separately, Brazilian club Keyd Stars announced it has closed its Counter-Strike 2 division, citing the national ban on bookmaker operations as a factor in the decision.
