Forbes updates top Minecraft seeds for 2026 (v26.2)

Forbes updated its list of top Minecraft seeds for 2026 to reflect version 26.2, highlighting seeds for villages, survival, speedruns, scenic builds and unusual underground features.

Forbes updated its curated list of Minecraft world seeds for 2026 to account for changes in version 26.2, identifying standout seeds across five categories: Village, Survival, Speedrun, Cool and Beautiful. The list includes exact seed numbers, tested coordinates and edition guidance for players who want to reproduce worlds.

Forbes tested the seeds in Java Edition on the latest release and checked generation on Bedrock. Most biome layouts match across editions, but some structures and placements can differ between Java and Bedrock and between current and older client versions.

The update highlights five headline seeds used as examples. The Pillagers and Villagers seed (8110137054462309706) spawns players near a savanna village with a pillager outpost and a ruined portal; notable coordinates include Village (225, 0), Pillager Outpost (215, 261) and Ruined Portal (347, 242). The Speedrun WR seed (-8717682453392808086) is the set seed used by the world-record holder; players practicing speedruns should load Minecraft 1.16 to match legacy mechanics and structure generation. Sulfur Caves Above Ground (17825001432) features unusual surface cave openings. Flower Forest Island (2048005618087379093) spawns on a lake-encircled island inside a cherry grove with a nearby village at (-272, 112) and an Ancient City at (8, -51, 232). Survival Structures (-7417157268905316998) places a plains village close to spawn with a ruined portal at (297, 340), a Trial Chamber below spawn at (294, 2, 290) and an exposed ravine.

Beyond the five lead seeds, the update documents dozens of niche and utility seeds. Village entries include the Ultimate Desert (486362209), which contains four desert villages and two desert temples within a few hundred blocks of spawn. Survival picks include a Ruined Portal-at-Spawn seed (-128114970508797305) that provides obsidian and flint-and-steel near spawn, a Structure Island seed (-3420545464665791887) with a taiga village and a woodland mansion on a small island, and an Easy Nether seed (-4517475607999363428) that places players near a Nether Fortress and a Bastion Remnant. Notable cool seeds include an Ancient City spawn (1606377695512438131) that generates players at low y-level with visible Ancient City features and diamonds, and an Infinite Mineshaft seed (107038380838084) that produces a long mineshaft along a consistent axis.

For players who want to reproduce a world, Forbes provides seed numbers and coordinates and advises pasting the seed into the advanced world options when creating a new game. The update cautions that several legacy seeds require older client versions to match historic panoramas and structure layouts, and that edition differences can change exact placements of structures.
