Fortblox: Mobile Fortress Go launches on Android, iOS

HYPERRISE released FORTBLOX: MOBILE FORTRESS GO! for Android and iOS. Players build and customize mobile fortresses from blocks, weapons and characters to fight dungeons, bosses and other players.

HYPERRISE released FORTBLOX: MOBILE FORTRESS GO! this month for Android and iOS. The studio calls it the world’s first wasteland fortress auto-battler. The game was first revealed last month and is available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store.

Set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, the title puts players in control of a mobile fortress that can be constructed, upgraded and modified as they progress. The game combines base-building with automated combat: once a fortress is assembled, battles play out without direct unit control.

Players can choose from about 40 block types and roughly 100 weapons and character units. Where those parts are placed affects attack patterns and how the fortress withstands damage. HYPERRISE says the configuration of blocks, weapons and units creates different offensive and defensive behaviors.

Game modes include a Parts Dungeon, which presents repeated enemy waves for farming fortress components; a Giant Boss Challenge that tests builds against powerful single foes; and an Arena where players’ custom fortresses compete in auto-battles.

HYPERRISE describes the game as emphasizing design synergies and tactical construction over passive leveling. The initial release expands the studio’s lineup into the mobile auto-battler category and makes the game available to players on both major app stores.
