Epic Games doubled Fortnite’s Gummy Power Hour to two hours on Saturdays to boost players’ chances of finding rare Gummy Sprites such as the Gummy Zero Point Sprite.

Epic Games has extended Fortnite’s Gummy Power Hour to two hours on Saturdays to increase players’ opportunities to encounter rare Gummy Sprites, the developer confirmed. The weekend event will temporarily raise the frequency of Gummy Sprite spawns during the scheduled two-hour window.

Power Hours are timed events when Epic alters in-game elements such as spawn rates, weapon availability or item effects. Last week’s Power Hour increased the appearance rate of Gold Sprites; this weekend’s event applies a similar adjustment focused on Gummy variants and doubles the usual one-hour window to two hours.

Sprites were added to Fortnite in Chapter 6, Season 1 in December 2024 and became more prominent in Chapter 7, Season 3, which began on June 6. Sprites occupy a dedicated inventory slot, grant passive abilities during matches-such as defensive shields or higher chances of finding rare items-and can be extracted by players. Extraction permanently unlocks the Sprite and its benefits for use outside the match.

The Zero Point Sprite’s standard variant drops from Sprite Chests at a base rate of about 1.044%. Community-collected drop-rate data shows the Gummy Zero Point Sprite is far rarer, appearing in Sprite Chests at roughly 0.006% and in Rare Chests at about 0.0021%.

As of publication, there has been one confirmed extraction of a Gummy Zero Point Sprite, with a small number of unverified claims on social platforms. Epic has not announced whether similar extensions or targeted Power Hours for other rare Sprite variants are planned beyond the weekend adjustments.

The extended two-hour window gives players additional time during the weekend event to open chests and attempt extractions while the altered spawn rates are active.
