Earn the ‘Friend to All’ Trophy in AC Black Flag Resynced

Players earn the “Friend to All” trophy in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced by interacting with seven animal species spread across the Caribbean open world: a cat, dog, cow, pig, parrot, tortoise and a monkey. Six of the animals can be found in the world; the monkey requires a story unlock and must be petted inside the Jackdaw cabin after it is assigned as the ship pet.

Cats and dogs appear in most major settlements. Havana, Kingston and Nassau reliably host both species; simply approach and press the interact button to pet them. Tortoises show up near coastlines and beaches, with Tulum and Cape Bonavista named as dependable locations. Cape Bonavista is visited early in the campaign, so players may find a tortoise soon after starting.

Cows are common across islands and usually require little searching. Pigs are most consistently found around Kingston’s outskirts and nearby farms, so visiting Kingston is the simplest way to register a pig. Parrots are not free-roaming; they sit in small cages beside pigeon coops where players pick up Assassin contracts on various islands. Approach the cages and use the interact prompt to feed or pet the parrot; chickens near those areas can be checked as well in case they count.

The monkey differs from the other six animals. It becomes available only after progressing the story until a monkey can be selected as the Jackdaw’s ship pet. Once selected, the monkey will sit by the ship’s wheel while sailing but will disappear from the deck when the player leaves. To interact, enter the Jackdaw’s cabin and pet the monkey at the far end of the room.

None of the animals are permanently missable, although the monkey cannot be accessed without advancing to the relevant story point. After petting or feeding each required species and registering all seven animals, the game awards the “Friend to All” trophy.
