Gale Knights soft-launches on mobile in South Korea, Taiwan
LightCON has soft-launched Gale Knights, an idle ARPG for iOS and Android in South Korea and Taiwan, combining hack-and-slash combat with AFK progression, hero collection and island customization.
LightCON Co., Ltd. has soft-launched Gale Knights, an idle action role-playing game for Android and iOS in South Korea and Taiwan. The title is available on the Google Play Store and the App Store in those regions. The publisher says the limited release is intended to gather player feedback and adjust balance, systems and monetization before a wider release; no global launch date has been announced.
Gale Knights pairs offline progression systems with touch-based hack-and-slash combat. Players advance through a series of increasingly difficult stages, upgrading equipment and improving hero abilities while some progression continues automatically when the game is inactive. Active sessions include direct controls, finishers and periodic boss encounters.
The game features a roster of recruitable heroes and collectible mounts. Players can assemble teams to pursue synergies, fit characters with gear and stacking enhancements, and tackle higher stages by adjusting combinations. A recurring in-game character named Pico appears at times to drop large quantities of gold and loot, which accelerates team advancement.
Outside combat, Gale Knights provides an island hub that players can customize and populate with companion characters. The hub offers light personalization options separate from the core stage progression loop.
LightCON released the title for testing in South Korea and Taiwan to collect player responses and refine gameplay before expanding availability. The developer has not provided further timing for a global launch.
Gale Knights joins a group of recent mobile idle ARPGs that mix automated progression with moments of direct control, using hero collection, gear upgrades and event encounters as primary long-term retention mechanics.
