Kingsroad launches Global Alignment server Oct. 13
Netmarble will open a Global Content Alignment server for Game of Thrones: Kingsroad on Oct. 13, 2026, introducing reworked progression, combat, a Dual Weapon System, multiplayer and UI updates.
Netmarble announced that a Global Content Alignment server for Game of Thrones: Kingsroad will launch on Oct. 13, 2026. The update will change progression, combat, visuals, the in-game economy and multiplayer systems for players on the new server.
The company said the update will refocus core progression around Membership and the Battle Pass to make character growth more linear and predictable. Combat will be reworked to change how abilities and upgrades affect characters. A Dual Weapon System will let players switch weapons during battles to enable different tactical options without leaving combat.
Navigation and the game interface will be adjusted, with improvements to user experience, expanded skip functions and higher visual quality aimed at smoother gameplay flow. Netmarble plans several quality-of-life tweaks to menus and controls to reduce friction in common tasks.
Multiplayer features will expand with an Elite Hideout mode that provides new multiplayer activities, an Honor Points system to add a ranking element to competitive play, and an Exchange Post to extend player-driven economic interactions. These features are intended to provide more structured options for cooperative and competitive play beyond standard matchmaking.
Pre-registration for the Global Content Alignment server begins Sept. 21. Netmarble will activate a Reward Lookup tool at that time so players can check which rewards they are eligible to receive based on their current character progression and cumulative purchases on the Western Server. Players who remain on the Western Server can keep their existing characters and systems; players who join the new server will receive rewards calculated from their Western Server progress and purchase history.
After the Global Content Alignment launch, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad will move into Season 3. The new season will send players to the Stormlands and introduce a new storyline, fresh progression content and new gameplay objectives. Netmarble said further details about Season 3 will be released in a future Developer’s Note.
