GamingonPhone Awards 2026 set for Bangkok on Oct. 28

Nominations open July 21–Aug. 10 for the sixth GamingonPhone Awards, which will be held in Bangkok on Oct. 28, 2026, with winners announced at a live Grand Finale and streamed globally.

GamingonPhone announced the sixth edition of its Awards will take place in Bangkok on October 28, 2026. Nominations open July 21 and close August 10 and are open to developers, publishers, service providers, creators and community members worldwide. The event will culminate in a live Grand Finale in Bangkok and will be streamed for a global audience.

Entries must fall within the Awards’ eligibility period of August 1, 2025, through July 31, 2026. Multiple submissions are allowed across categories. Nominators are asked to include a 100–200 word statement explaining why a game, product or team deserves recognition. Trailers, screenshots, gameplay videos and reviews are recommended to help the jury evaluate entries.

The GamingonPhone editorial team will produce shortlists between August 11 and August 20. Public voting opens August 21 and runs through September 21. Final winners will be determined by a three-way voting system: a Jury Panel will contribute 50% of the final score, public voting will account for 40%, and the GamingonPhone editorial team will provide the remaining 10%.

The 2026 ceremony will be held alongside The Mobile Premiere, a new physical showcase focused on mobile titles where developers and publishers can reveal new games, major updates and gameplay to a worldwide audience. The awards and The Mobile Premiere will take place on the same night in Bangkok.

Award categories have been reduced from 30 to 28 for 2026, divided into 12 B2B and 16 B2C categories. B2C categories include Mobile Game of the Year, On-going Mobile Game of the Year, Premium Mobile Game of the Year, Innovative Mobile Game of the Year and Players’ Choice Mobile Game of the Year, which is decided solely by community votes. B2B categories recognize developers, publishers, regional expansion partners, PR and marketing teams, alternative distribution platforms, external development partners, QA and localization providers, monetization and payment providers, UA and growth platforms, analytics tools, and a Leader in Climate Action and Social Innovation award.

Organizers reported that the first in-person ceremony in 2025, held in Bangkok, generated more than 18 million impressions across platforms and recorded over 620,000 community votes. The 2025 process received 6,423 nominations, produced 244 finalists across 30 categories, and involved 107 industry jurors.
