Gnomia turns walks into gardening progress on mobile

Indie developer Ethadix released Gnomia, a mobile game that converts real-world walks and runs into progress for virtual gardens, cooking and cave exploration on Android and iOS.

Ethadix released Gnomia — Your virtual garden for Android and iOS, a mobile game that ties outdoor walking and running to in-game progress. The title is available now worldwide on the Google Play Store and the App Store.

In Gnomia, player movement on foot uncovers new map tiles, awards resources and completes simple requests that unlock additional areas. The game can integrate with Strava to import existing fitness sessions. The core mechanic links short outdoor trips to exploration and resource gathering in the virtual world.

At the home garden, players clear weeds, prepare soil, plant seeds, water crops and harvest produce. Crops have quality levels that affect their value. Players can collect fruits, vegetables, flowers and other plant types by experimenting with seeds.

Companion characters can join a player’s garden to provide bonuses and assist with routine tasks. Harvested ingredients are used in a cooking system that unlocks recipes and completes cooking requests. Prepared meals contribute to progression, seasonal festival objectives and collection goals.

Players can unlock caves with procedurally generated layouts that contain resources, obstacles and combat or puzzle challenges. Garden development includes building structures that boost nearby crops, automate selected tasks and increase efficiency. The game offers character customization, garden decoration, achievements and in-game hints.

Gnomia includes social features such as creating or joining groups, weekly festivals, shared requests and leaderboards. These systems let players cooperate on festival objectives and compare progression through rankings and shared rewards.

Ethadix developed Gnomia and is the studio behind titles such as Lucky Pirate and LOOP. The game is distributed through the Google Play Store and the App Store and supports integration with third-party fitness tracking for players who use such services.
