Gravemark dungeon crawler launches on Android

Gravemark, a free-to-play hack-and-slash game from Tokyo hammock Inc., is now available on Google Play for Android. The game sends players through increasingly dangerous dungeon floors, where dying before returning to town causes them to lose the loot and gold collected during the run.

The game is designed for one-handed play in portrait mode. Characters attack automatically, while players activate skills and potions, choose between two routes on each floor and decide when to leave the dungeon. The four classes are Knight, Reaver, Sentinel and Mage, and each has its own skill tree.

Items found during a run do not enter a player’s permanent inventory until they are brought back to town. If a character dies, the loot bag, gold earned during the run and gear equipped after entering the dungeon are lost. Gear equipped in town and items stored in the stash remain safe.

Each route card displays the damage an enemy can deal with one hit. Players can compare that figure with their remaining health before choosing a path. After each victory, the game pauses so players can arrange items in a grid-based bag. Newly collected items remain unidentified until they reach town.

Gravemark has four dungeon floors named after locations from Dante’s Inferno. Judecca is the deepest floor and hosts a seasonal leaderboard. Tattoos provide additional abilities with associated drawbacks. The game includes 15 Relics, which rank above Legendary items.

Tokyo hammock has stated that Gear, Relics and tattoos cannot be purchased with real money. The game has no premium currency. Video advertisements appear when players choose to watch one for a reward. The shop includes battle-speed and auto-battle options, an Ad Skip Pass and playable characters.

Gravemark is available in English and Japanese on Google Play. The Android release follows earlier releases focused on iPhone users.
