GTA 6 Adds Animal Cataloguing, NPC Dialogue Wheel
GTA 6 will let players catalogue animals, pet or shout at dogs, use a dialogue wheel for NPCs and try activities like pool, golf, scuba, kayaking, gym and zoo visits.
Rockstar Games detailed new interaction and side-activity features for Grand Theft Auto 6, saying players will be able to catalogue animals, engage with street dogs, use a dialogue wheel in conversations and take part in a range of optional pastimes across Leonida and Vice City.
Players follow protagonists Jason and Lucia through Leonida during main story missions but can leave those missions to try leisure options and smaller tasks placed around the map.
Animal encounters include a zoo where species can be observed and an in-game catalogue for recording discoveries. Street dogs will offer an interaction choice that lets players pet them or shout at them.
NPC conversations will use a dialogue wheel that lets players choose responses. Characters will animate differently based on body type and will react to player behaviour. Rockstar said some encounters can alter events later the same night in the game world.
Optional activities available across the map include pool, golf, scuba diving, kayaking, gym workouts, parachuting and zoo visits. Players can make environmental comments while roaming with Jason and Lucia.
Rockstar presented the features as part of a wider look at the game’s open world, describing them as additions intended to fill the map with more activities and animation detail beyond headline missions.
GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026.
