GTA 6 preorders start June 25; official cover art released

Rockstar will open preorders for Grand Theft Auto 6 on June 25 and published official cover art showing protagonists Jason and Lucia ahead of the game’s Nov. 19 release.

Rockstar Games said preorders for Grand Theft Auto 6 will open on June 25 and released the game’s official cover art, which features protagonists Jason and Lucia. The studio lists a planned launch date of Nov. 19 for current-generation consoles.

Players can add GTA 6 to wishlists on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S stores now to receive notifications when preorders begin. Rockstar and parent company Take-Two Interactive have not disclosed pricing, edition details or preorder contents.

Take-Two and Rockstar have kept launch pricing private. Industry discussion has raised the possibility of a higher price than the current $70 standard, and analysts at Bank of America have suggested an $80 price point as a potential option. Rockstar has not confirmed any price or whether multiple priced editions will be offered.

Rockstar’s past major releases typically shipped with several editions that include digital bonuses, physical collector items, early access and in-game rewards. The studio has not announced which, if any, of those elements will appear in GTA 6 editions or preorder incentives.

The June 25 preorder date follows recent marketing activity from Rockstar, including a second trailer and additional artwork. With preorder pages live for wishlists and retail listings updating, the company is preparing for the November launch window.

Fans and retailers are watching for pricing, edition breakdowns and any platform-specific preorder perks. Until Rockstar publishes official details, console storefront wishlists remain the primary method for registering interest and receiving updates.
