GTA 6 trailer shows PS5 gameplay ahead of November launch

Rockstar Games released a new launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 on Oct. 15, showing gameplay from the PlayStation 5 version. The game is scheduled for release on Nov. 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The trailer returns to Leonida, the fictional state that includes Vice City. The story follows Jason and Lucia after a heist goes wrong and draws them into a wider criminal network. The pair rely on each other while carrying out further robberies and other crimes.

The footage includes vehicle chases, armed robberies, police encounters, wildlife and scenes of Jason and Lucia spending time together. Rockstar said all footage in the trailer was captured from the PlayStation 5 version.

The trailer features music from Justice, the French electronic duo. “Flower in a Hurricane,” featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, is listed for GTA 6: The Album. The song is available to pre-save through major music services, while physical editions are available for pre-order.

Rockstar has announced versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The details accompanying the trailer do not include a PC release date.
