Where to find hardwood in Palworld and what it crafts
Hardwood in Palworld drops from trees at Anubis Dunes and sakura near Moonflower Tower Entrance. It is needed for advanced weapons, Pal Spheres and several structures.
Hardwood in Palworld must be gathered from two specific open-world locations. Trees around the Anubis Dunes fast travel point on the northeastern coast and sakura trees by the Moonflower Tower Entrance on the northwestern island drop hardwood when felled. Hardwood does not appear near starting zones and cannot be produced by a base logging site.
The Anubis Dunes site is on a sandy extension off the northeastern coast and is marked by a large stone Anubis statue. Trees there have a different look from starter-region woods and yield hardwood when chopped. The Moonflower Tower Entrance area lies west of Cherry Blossom Crossroads on a northwestern island; sakura trees in that zone drop hardwood but the location is less accessible early in a run.
Hardwood is an ingredient in several mid- and late-game recipes. It is required for weapons such as the Single-shot Rifle and the Double-Barreled Shotgun, for Pal Spheres including the Legendary Sphere, Ultimate Sphere and Sol Sphere, and for base items like Logging Site II and the Refined Metal Chest. Furniture and decorative items that use hardwood include the Large Pal Bed, High Quality Wooden Board, Faux Desert Greenery Set, Faux Snowy Greenery Set, Faux Cherry Blossoms Set, Japanese-Style Structure Set and Japanese-Style Hot Spring. Other items requiring hardwood include the Giga Glider, Grass Grenade and Extra Weapon Holster II.
Hardwood is a rarer drop compared with common wood types. Players planning to craft higher-tier gear or Pal Spheres will need to visit the marked tree types repeatedly to gather the required amounts. There is no in-base production for hardwood, so inventory planning and combining hardwood runs with other resource collection trips can reduce travel time.
Knowing the two primary hardwood locations and the list of recipes that use it allows players to schedule harvesting trips and allocate inventory space for crafting and construction as they progress through the tech tree.
