Heartopia’s Oceanbound update debuts July 11
Heartopia’s global server marks its half‑anniversary with Oceanbound, adding the Whale Canyon underwater map, the Call of Whales fashionwave, new cosmetics and summer login rewards.
XD Entertainment will roll out Heartopia’s Oceanbound update in two phases: a preparation period beginning July 4, 2026, and the main season launching July 11, 2026. The event runs with time‑limited in‑game rewards and a summer program of web events and collaborations. From July 16 through August 29, players who log in can claim exhibition passes; additional passes, blue hearts and wishing stars are available through linked web activities.
The update introduces Whale Canyon, an explorable underwater map reached via the game’s storyline after undersea earthquakes around Whale Island. Players encounter Rory, an advisor to the marine archaeology team and the older sister of character Annie, who guides them to the new area. Avatars can swim in four directions and meet new marine creatures, face environmental hazards and gather collectible items.
Ocean pollution and magnetic disturbances have left pollutants on coral in Whale Canyon. Players use a basic ocean cleaner to remove debris and recover hidden collectibles such as seashells. Materials gathered during cleanup can be used in new recipes tied to the fashionwave and to craft ocean‑themed building materials for a mini world called Seamount, accessed through the management console.
The Call of Whales fashionwave adds ocean‑themed cosmetics, accessories, pets and interactive furniture. Catalog items include the Sea Flower Bud Dress, sailor swimsuits, matching pet outfits, ocean bay windows, a tie‑knotted hammock and an interactive ocean treasure chest. A new avatar action, Cute dance, is available. Seamount lets players place collectible decorations and build a personal underwater scene inside their management console space.
System updates accompany the content changes. The quest list has been redesigned to prioritize event objectives, with improved auto‑tracking and faster category filtering in Dorothee’s Salon. Players can create and share Outfit Posters and edit their fashionwave memory journal with new tools such as image zoom and event stickers. Many town residents’ courtyards receive cosmetic renovations for the season, and a temporary ocean‑themed concert stage appears in town for limited performances featuring bubbles and fireworks.
XD Entertainment is launching Protect the Blue, a conservation project tied to the season that focuses on the Indo‑Pacific humpback dolphin. Players who raise their cleaning hobby to a specified level become eligible for a draw to win a limited edition Voice of the Deep gift box, which includes a card with an authentic dolphin soundprint.
The update’s schedule, new mechanics, cosmetic items and event reward windows are listed in the game’s patch notes and in‑game event pages for players to review before and during the Oceanbound season.
