Hell Clock arrives on Android with Play Pass support
Rogue Snail’s roguelite ARPG Hell Clock, reimagining Brazil’s War of Canudos, is now available on Android as a premium title and via Google Play Pass.
Rogue Snail has released Hell Clock on Android as a paid download and added the title to Google Play Pass. The developer announced the Android launch after the game received positive reviews following its 2025 release on PC and other consoles.
Players control Pajeú, a warrior who descends into a nightmarish version of Canudos to recover the soul of his fallen mentor, The Counselor. The game frames the late 19th‑century War of Canudos as a fictional, supernatural retelling and links enemy forces and artifacts to the historical conflict.
Hell Clock is a roguelite action RPG. Each run through its environments alters time and offers new progression options: players can find Relics and Blessings, strengthen characters across attempts, unlock tools and skills, and refine builds. The title includes a three‑act campaign followed by an Endgame Ascension system.
Combat mixes fast melee and ranged options. Players can use quick knife strikes, swing a large bell inspired by Canudos’ resistance, or fire a sidearm for rapid attacks. The game offers multiple difficulty settings and an optional Hell Mode.
Rogue Snail is selling Hell Clock as a premium download on the Google Play Store and included the full game in Google Play Pass so subscribers can access it without a separate purchase. The developer has not provided a release date for iOS platforms.
The War of Canudos was a conflict in northeastern Brazil in the late 19th century between a religious community led by Antônio Conselheiro and the federal government of the newly established republic. Hell Clock uses that episode as a basis for a fictional narrative and incorporates local motifs into weapons, relics and the story.
