Helldivers 2 Update 7.2.0 Adds Anti-Cheat and Weapon Buffs

Helldivers 2 update 7.2.0 adds Easy Anti-Cheat, weapon and stratagem buffs, and fixes for crashes, performance issues and gameplay bugs.

Arrowhead released Helldivers 2 update 7.2.0 on Oct. 20, 2026. The update adds Easy Anti-Cheat and other security features, improves performance and adjusts weapons, stratagems and support equipment.

The patch improves multithreaded CPU performance, reduces stuttering during combat and shortens loading times. PC players should see fewer stutters during shader compilation. Fixes address crashes linked to vehicle customization, SEAF Shuttles, ragdoll effects and upscaling.

The M90A Shotgun’s damage increased from 605 to 726, while its damage against durable targets rose from 220 to 264. The MA5C Assault Rifle deals more damage to durable targets and has less recoil. The StA-52 Assault Rifle has an additional magazine and reduced recoil.

The StA-11 SMG received higher damage, improved handling and reduced recoil. The PLAS-39 Accelerator Rifle reloads faster, and its projectiles cause less stagger. The LAS-16 Sickle and LAS-17 Double-Edge Sickle fire and cool down faster. The standard Sickle also generates less heat.

The SG-8 Punisher, SG-225 Breaker and SG-225SP Breaker Spray&Pray received higher standard and durable damage. The SG-22 Bushwhacker’s damage increased from 450 to 540, while its damage against durable targets rose from 108 to 135.

Players can move immediately after deploying the M-1000 Maxigun instead of waiting 0.5 seconds. The weapon causes more stagger and has greater force for knocking back bodies. The CQC-20 Breaching Hammer now carries 10 rounds, up from seven.

The Orbital Airburst Strike’s cooldown fell from 100 seconds to 90 seconds. Its smaller explosion cone concentrates shrapnel in a narrower area. The EXO-51 Lumberer Exosuit and A/FLAM-40 Flame Sentry now deal eight damage per flame particle, up from three. Gas from the Eagle Airstrike is less effective at demolishing objects.

Other fixes address enemies failing to follow paths, objective errors, weapons that do not fire correctly, visual effects and synchronization. Support weapon settings should now remain unchanged between uses. SEAF units received new emotes, including Rock Paper Scissors, Pull My Finger and Test of Conviction.
