Hill Climb Racing 3 expands Android soft launch, adds multiplayer
Hill Climb Racing 3 expanded its Android soft launch to Germany and Poland and introduced real-time multiplayer; the regional test has passed 100,000 downloads.
Fingersoft has extended the Android soft launch of Hill Climb Racing 3 to Germany and Poland, joining existing test markets in Finland, Norway, Sweden and the UK. The regional test has recorded more than 100,000 downloads to date.
The developer first announced the sequel in November 2022. The game remains in development and Fingersoft has not provided a global release date or a timeline for iOS availability.
Hill Climb Racing 3 introduces real-time multiplayer racing to the series for the first time. Players can compete head-to-head online and enter a new Elimination mode, where racers must reach checkpoints or risk being knocked out. Matches are shorter and centered on direct competition rather than solo time trials.
Players can customize vehicles with skins, upgrade performance stats, and equip gadgets. Gadgets are grouped for offensive, defensive, navigation and boost functions and can change race strategy and vehicle handling.
The game continues to use a physics-based engine that affects jumps, bounces and glides across varied terrain. The release includes returning characters such as Nikita, Rick Ace and Bill Newton, plus characters from Climb Canyon. Each driver has distinct traits that affect handling.
Fingersoft said it is using regional testing to refine online features, vehicle balance and network performance based on player feedback. The soft-launch build is available only on Android in the listed countries; iOS users are awaiting further announcements.
