Hill Climb Racing 3 soft-launches in Germany
Fingersoft has begun a soft launch of Hill Climb Racing 3 in Germany to gather player feedback on its multiplayer-focused, cel-shaded 3D racing title.
Fingersoft has started a soft launch of Hill Climb Racing 3 in Germany. The release follows earlier soft launches in Finland, Norway, Poland, Sweden and the UK and forms part of a phased rollout ahead of a full launch.
Hill Climb Racing 3 retains the series’ physics-based driving across sloped terrain and obstacles. The game shifts to cel-shaded 3D visuals, keeps short race sessions with long-term progression systems, and places a greater emphasis on multiplayer competition and social features.
Fingersoft described German players as ‘discerning’ and indicated feedback from the market will inform final tuning of multiplayer systems, visuals and progression before a broader release. The company said the staged launch will let teams test multiplayer stability, balance progression mechanics and adjust content based on player responses.
The developer has been releasing the title in select markets over several weeks. The soft launch will let Fingersoft monitor how the new graphics and multiplayer systems perform under live conditions and make incremental changes prior to wider availability.
Some players have expressed cautious optimism about the game’s live-service-style elements, while others are waiting for the game to reach more regions. Fingersoft has characterized the third installment as one of its more ambitious projects and plans a wider release once testing and adjustments are complete.
