Hunting Simulator 3 launches Oct. 29 on PC, PS5 and Xbox
Hunting Simulator 3 launches Oct. 29, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, featuring two 100 km² regions, a SimFauna wildlife system and Unreal Engine 5.
Hunting Simulator 3 will release on Oct. 29, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The third entry in the series includes two open-world regions set in Colorado and Texas, each roughly 100 square kilometers, and more than 35 animal species to track and hunt. The game follows a six-year gap since the previous installment.
The title introduces an in-house system called SimFauna to model wildlife across each map. Animals will reproduce, grow and age over time, and populations will respond to player activity. Sustained hunting in one area can change local animal numbers and behavior. SimFauna replaces fixed scripted spawn patterns with ongoing population dynamics that the developer describes as intended to vary play sessions.
Hunting Simulator 3 is the first entry in the franchise developed on Unreal Engine 5. The developer cites the engine as enabling expanded visual fidelity and greater environmental detail compared with earlier games in the series.
Players will have access to 75 weapons and pieces of equipment from licensed manufacturers including Remington, Beretta, Winchester and Browning. Traversal options include five off-road vehicles provided by Ford, Kawasaki and Polaris. Hunting dogs return with multiple breeds available; each breed has distinct behaviors that affect tracking and hunting strategy. Players can hunt alone or with a canine companion.
The franchise has more than one million players across previous entries. The game’s Steam page is available for players who wish to add Hunting Simulator 3 to their wishlist ahead of launch.
