IO Interactive Teases Free 007: First Light DLC

IO Interactive posted a short, car-focused clip teasing free DLC for 007: First Light and scheduled a fuller reveal for Oct. 1.

IO Interactive posted a brief video on the game’s official X account showing a car driving along a scenic road. Overlaid text in the clip reads “a free DLC is just around the bend.” The studio scheduled a full reveal for Oct. 1.

The teaser offers no concrete details about content. IO Interactive has not confirmed whether the free DLC will add vehicles, missions, cosmetics or another type of update.

Players have pointed to the 007: First Light Year One roadmap, which lists a Bawma mission that returns players to Aleph’s black market in Mauritania and is described as including off-road encounters and more driving-focused gameplay than previous Tactical Simulation missions. Some have suggested the car clip could indicate that Bawma or other driving content will be part of the free DLC. IO Interactive has not confirmed any link between the teaser and the Bawma mission.

Earlier updates expanded Tactical Simulation Mode with additional missions, weapons and cosmetics. The studio has released mission packs and standalone missions separately, including a mission connected to musician Lenny Kravitz’s Bawma, and it has indicated more Tactical Simulation content will be released through the year.

The full announcement is due on Oct. 1 on IO Interactive’s channels. Until then, the short car-focused clip is the only official information about the free DLC.
